Text
The way a lot of people really pick up a language is by messaging someone in it all day. Chat with Tia in Spanish exactly like you would a friend on WhatsApp, and she writes back in Spanish, pitched to your level. Stuck on a word, phrase or the whole message? Tap it to translate.
Speak
Missions put you in a real scene and you talk your way through it by voice. Order the coffee, haggle the price, get past the desk. If you freeze, Tia is one tap away: ask her for a hint or message her on the side, then turn back to the conversation and keep going.
Listen
Characters speak at a real pace, and listening missions train your ear on native speech instead of a slowed-down classroom version. Don't feel like talking today? Audio episodes work like a modern Pimsleur, so you can keep learning hands-free, out on a run or sat on the bus.
Read
Half of getting by abroad is reading: the menu, the station board, the text your landlord just sent. Missions hand you the real things you have to read to get through them, so the words you pick up are the words that'll actually be in front of you, not a vocabulary list you'll never see again.
Tiamigo also has a built-in review system. The words you struggled with come back on their own, woven into Tia's next message or the next mission.
A mission, start to finish
The unit of the app isn't a lesson. It's a mission.
She sets the scene and the stakes, and at the early levels hands you a few phrases to walk in with.
"Get five oranges and a bunch of grapes for under 8 euros. Don't accept the first price 😏 You might want to use ¿cuánto cuesta? and demasiado caro."
It's live, and by voice. Alejandra has a mood and the price isn't fixed, so you talk your way through it. Stuck? Tia is one tap away with a hint.

Text mode
Texting someone in a language all day is how a lot of people really learn. But a blank chatbot just leaves you staring at the screen, not knowing what to say. Tia is the opposite: she messages you first. A good morning, a question about your day, a quick "how do you say…?". You reply in Spanish, and tap any word, or the whole message, to translate it on the spot.
